Fair Work Information Statement

Release 13/08/20

Why a New Form

Following the High Court decision handed down on 13/8/20 where the High Court found that the entitlement to 10 days of personal/carers lean is calculated based on an employee's hours of work, not days, 10 days of personal leave can be calculated as 1/26 of an employee's ordinary hours of work in a year. This overturns the decision made by the Full Court in August 2020
